AsiaDHRRA and PhilDHRRA jointly conducted a series of project orientations to farmers’ organizations (FO), namely Batu Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BAFAMCO) and Coalition of Municipal Fisherfolk Associations (COMFAS) in Zamboanga, Sibugay, and Kabangasan-Mapua-Dahilig Arc Cooperative (KAMADA Arc Coop) in Balingoan, Misamis Oriental on 2-5 June 2024. The visits provided comprehensive orientation for FO/Coop and stakeholders regarding the Smallholder Economic Empowerment through Digital Solutions (SEEDS) project. The project management team and FOs discussed matters related to partnership agreements to ensure clarity and mutual understanding among stakeholders. It was also an opportune time to collaboratively develop an action plan on digitization that is aligned with the project’s goals and responsive to the needs of the target FOs.
SEEDS is an AsiaDHRRA project that aims to accelerate the modernization of smallholder households in poor rural areas through digital and ICT solutions and interventions covering Cambodia, Philippines, and Vietnam, co-implemented by GrowAsia and funded by the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs through IFAD.
