The Philippine Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (Phildhrra) launched its recent initiative, “Project PhilMart,” on 28 February 2023 at the PhilDHRRA Compound, Quezon City. Project PhilMart is a component of Rural-Urban Market Link (RUML), a project implemented by a consortium led by GlowCorp and funded by USAID. The consortium consists of the Philippine Family Farmers’ Agriculture Fishery Forestry Cooperatives Federation (AgriCOOPH), AsiaDHRRA, Foundation for a Sustainable Society Inc (FSSI), the National Confederation of Cooperatives (NATCCO Network), PhilDHRRA, and the Partnership of Philippine Support Service Agencies (PHILSSA).

RUML aims to develop a business mechanism to facilitate the consolidation of agricultural products and link to urban communities, particularly in Greater Manila. Project PhilMart will link assisted farmers from rural areas and market products to urban communities targeting subdivisions and condominiums.
