The Asian Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (AsiaDHRRA), and the Philippine Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (PhilDHRRA) conducted the Child and Youth Labor in Agriculture (CYLA) pre-inception meeting on 22 March 2022 via Zoom, with participation from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (FAO-RAP).  The project aims to empower youth through capacity training to increase decent employment opportunities and reduce child labor risks in sustainable agriculture.  It was also attended by the Institute of Social Order (ISO), the local implementing partner.

The discussion evolved in the parameters/indicators of the project, the roles of stakeholders, and the plan for the upcoming inception workshop.  The dialogue also covered quick updates on the mapping tools and guide to be used and the project management structure designed by AsiaDHRRA.

A summary of activities and the targeted timeframes were agreed upon in preparation for the inception workshop scheduled on April 19, 2022.
