AsiaDHRRA plans the future directions of RAI programming with FAO

 

Quezon City (via Zoom) – AsiaDHRRA Responsible Agricultural Investment Team meet with FAO (Rome) Team to discuss the future directions of RAI programming in the region, via Zoom meeting on 5 February 2021.

The on-going cooperation on RAI, with focus on youth and gender, is being implemented in six (6) South East Asian Countries with the national DHRRA members of AsiaDHRRA in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The implications of the pandemic, the importance of investments for/by youth, the challenge of monitoring investments, and the need to strengthen partnership with ASEAN on the regionalized Guidelines on RAI, and Grow Asia country mechanisms are areas to be considered in developing comprehensive programming on RAI.

The FAO was represented by Mr. Andrew Nadeau (Head of Unit), Ms. Maud Oustry (Focal Point), Jana Harold, Laura Sciannimonaco, and Emma Mcghie.
