Katmandu, Nepal – AsiaDHRRA participated in the Policy Forum on Development (PFD) – Asia Regional Meeting together with other stakeholders from all over Asia in Kathmandu, Nepal from 24 – 26 September to discuss development policies.
Ms. Mags T. Catindig, AsiaDHRRA Program Manager, moderated the regional progress toward the global development agenda: how are we faring? (Session 5) on the first day of the meeting, 24 September 2019. The session successfully catered a rich discussion to: describe the regional status of commitments to the global agenda; share challenges and best practices; and, introduce the regional experience which set the stage for looking at national and local level implementation and examine how progress has been made to “leave no one behind.”
Ms. Margarita de la Cruz, AsiaDHRRA ExeCom member, and Ms. Maalini Ramalo, DHRRA Malaysia Senior Program Manager, also sat down as panel speakers (session 8.1) in the second day the PFD during the discussion on the progress made since the adoption of the 2030 Agenda, they specifically shared about the SDG implementation in fragile contexts, identifying existing practices and initiatives for implementing the SDGs at the local level.
