15 February 2022 – AsiaDHRRA program management team meets with Dr. Chusana Han, the new Assistant Director of the Poverty Eradication and Gender Division at the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Department (ASCC Department), on 15 February 2022 via Zoom.
The meeting evolved around the cooperation of AsiaDHRRA and PEGD from the previous years and how it could further move this year and the next onward to sustainable rural development agenda.
Specifically, Dr. Han was updated of the status of the Rural Development Master Plan (RDMP) which is being developed with inputs from the results of ASEAN member states or country consultations. The draft RDMP now includes regional and national recommendations coming from Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand.
The workshop results from Laos, Philippines, and Vietnam are being validated at the national level, while, the workshops in Indonesia and Malaysia are to be conducted within February of this year. More so, ASEAN secretariat shall secure inouts on the RDMP from Brunei and Singapore.
