Hanoi, Vietnam — AsiaDHRRA Executive Committee convened on February 27 – March 2, 2018 for the 30th ExeCom Meeting at Hanoi, Vietnam.
The 2017 accomplishment reports, financial reports, and operations report including: ReCoERDO, Post Disasters Program, and Farmers’ Fighting Poverty, were reviewed during the meeting. The AsiaDHRRA Quality Approaches Initiative (EFQM) focused on EFQM journey towards excellence; secretariat EFQM quick check process; and outline of proposed operations manual, was also updated and planned. Moreover, AsiaDHRRA’s strategies in achieving milestones, innovations, and partnerships were discussed for the 2018 plans and targets, which were also approved in said meeting.
The ExeCom meeting also made way for field meetings with AsiaDHRRA’s netwok, VietDHRRA, and its members: North Vietnam College of Agriculture and Rural Development (NVCARD) which is operating under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), and Vietnam Gardeners Association (VACVINA), and the Center for Agricultural Extension Volunteers (CAEV), VietDHRRA secretariat and also the first NGO in Vietnam founded in February 1986. The visit to the Natural Vegetable Production Cooperative in Môc Châu, So’n La in the north-west of Vietnam was found very interesting. The group which is being supported by VACVINA is a 2017 Awardee of ASEAN Brands, Products and Services in the Asia-Pacific for its pioneering efforts in integration, collective production, and consolidation for marketing.
The successful meeting was hosted by VietDHRRA and VACVINA.
