15 June 2022 – The Asian Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (AsiaDHRRA) participated in the panel discussion on the Launch of the Study on Urbanisation, People’s Mobility, and Inclusive Development Across Urban-Rural Continuum in ASEAN. Ms. Marlene Ramirez, AsiaDHRRA Secretary-General, shared her views during the panel discussion on ways forwards and good practices to nurture inclusive development in the rural-urban continuum.
The study was conducted by the Resilience Development Initiative (RDI) in 2021-2022, which involves ASEAN Members States (AMS), international organizations, including UN agencies, and research institutes in data gathering. The study unveiled comprehensive data and insights concerning urbanisation trends in the ASEAN region.
The event was hosted by the ASEAN Secretariat to disseminate the study results and recommendations to its key stakeholders. It was attended by ASEAN Sectoral Bodies representatives, AMS, UN agencies, and research institutes.
