AsiaDHRRA’s Smallholder Economic Empowerment through Digital Solutions (SEEDS) Project and PhilDHRRA jointly conducted the second batch on capacitating Farmers’ Organization (FOs) from Batu Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BAFAMCO) and Coalition of Municipal Fisherfolk Associations (COMFAS) in Zamboanga, Sibugay on 14-15 December 2024.  The two-day workshop covered learnings on basic digital literacy and financial training for farming, focusing on understanding smartphones, operating systems, applications, e-wallets, and mobile banking.

The event invited and introduced two agri-tech (B2B) and agri-business platforms, MAYANI and GoEden, who presented the latest online approach to accessing the market, inputs, credit, e-commerce, pesticide management, and other farming and supply chain solutions.  The occasion was participated by various smallholder/young farmers and rural youth from BAFAMCO and COMFAS FOs.

SEEDS is a project addressing the urgent needs for Digital Agriculture, implemented in Cambodia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, funded by the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) through IFAD.
