A joint effort between AsiaDHRRA and PhilDHRRA to capacitate farmers’ organizations on basic digital and financial literacy was conducted on 19 February 2025 in Mapua, Balingoan, Misamis Oriental. Members of Kabangasan-Mapua-Dahilig Arc Cooperative (KAMADA Arc Coop) participated in the workshop, which AsiaDHRRA’s Smallholder Economic Empowerment supported through Digital Solutions (SEEDS) project.
The learnings highlighted an understanding of digital knowledge that will support farming activities through application operations using handheld smartphones. It also focused on the importance of financial platforms like e-wallets and mobile banking utilization.
SEEDS is AsiaDHRRA’s project to build the capacities of smallholder farmers in Cambodia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. It is funded by the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) through IFAD.
