Komunitas Swabina Pedesaan Salassae (KSPS), AsiaDHRRA’s partner farmers’ organization (FO), will organize SalassaExpo 2024, a People’s Festival at the People’s Market in Salassae Village, Bulukumba District, South Sulawesi, Indonesia on 25-27 June 2024. The event will serve as a venue for the people of Bulukumba Regency to share knowledge through a series of activities relating to global climate change, energy, food, and financial crises. The expo also aims to gather wisdom from the past and present and brilliant ideas to guide navigating a sustainable and noble life.
Salassae is a humble village, and with the administration of the Salassae Village Government on its community, stays committed and engaged to global advocacies of honoring nature and building a better and more dignified life for the present and future generations. For over ten years, KSPS’ Salassae Self-Reliant Rural Community has used natural farming as an umbrella movement for strengthening people’s organizations and the economy, and it is supported by several organizations and parties.
