Mr. Ryan Washburn, Mission Director, Mr. Jeffrey Goebel, Director for Economic Development and Governance, and Mr. Jay De Quiroz, Economic Development Specialist of the USAID, visited the GlowCorp office in Cabuyao, Laguna, for a project meeting with the Rural-Urban Market Link (RUML) team on 28 September 2023.

The discussion highlighted the latest project accomplishment with special emphasis on partner collaboration – the farmer suppliers and consumer sectors in the urban areas.  In addition, the USAID appreciated the success of the public procurement bids initiated by the AgriCOOPh.  Likewise, the RUML team guided the USAID officials to the GlowCorp Processing Unit of their coconut sugar, muscovado sugar, and organic rice.

RUML is a project implemented by seven development networks led by GLOWCORP with AgriCOOPh, AsiaDHRRA, FSSI, NatCCO, PhilSSA, and PhilDHRRA and funded by USAID. The project aims to link rural producers to the urban markets, particularly in Metro Manila.
