The Rural-Urban Market Link (RUML) team gathered 76 motivated Sari-sari (variety) store and Eatery owners during the launching of Biyayang Lokal Expansion in Caloocan City on 26 January 2024. The event highlighted the signing of agreements between GlowCorp-PBC, KCOOP, and PhilSSA, with representations from the USAID’s Agreement Officer’s Representative (AOR) Ms. Princess Shimmadar Manaois-Battung, USAID’s Deliver-E Representative, Mr. Remi John Roman, and the Peace and Equity Foundation (PEF).
The RUML initiative aims to empower urban poor communities by connecting them with fresh produce from the country’s local farmers. It strengthens its commitment to supporting local businesses and fostering community growth.
RUML is a seven-consortium project led by GlowCorp and funded by the USAID.
