AsiaDHRRA, in collaboration with its partner organizations, conducted training on Rural People’s Organizations’ (RPOs) business plan preparation for the livelihood grant facility on 9-11 December 2024.  The three-day workshop took place in San Fernando, Bukidnon, and participated by two RPOs each from the municipalities of Kapalong and Asuncion in Davao del Norte, from San Fernando, Bukidnon, and from South Upi, Maguindanao del Sur.

Small livelihood grants fund facility aims to improve the capacities of established RPOs to access various social protection and economic/livelihood projects.  However, RPO leaders and project staff need to gain knowledge in preparing a proposal to ensure its completeness in information and chances of success and to assist potential project beneficiaries effectively.

The event has provided a space for RPOs to understand and develop knowledge and skills on project feasibility and business planning, particularly technical requirements in production and marketing.  In addition, familiarity and knowledge of value chain, financial statements/analysis, and return on investment were shared and discussed during the workshop.  Moreover, the gathering served as a platform for collaboration, innovation, and community-driven solutions to empower rural livelihoods while addressing child labor issues.

RISE-UP project’s “Harnessing CSO capacities for Eliminating Child Labor Action thru Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships and Agri-Entrepreneurship” is AsiaDHRRA’s program in partnership with Kaanib Foundation Inc, CO Multiversity and PhilDHRRA, and funded by the EU.
