The Rural-Urban Market Link (RUML) project recently organized an interactive and learning validation event themed “Empowering Partnerships, Enhancing Market Linkages” on 21 October 2024. Consortium partners, namely GlowCorp, AgriCooPH, AsiaDHRRA, FSSI, NATCCO, PhilDHRRA, and PhilSSA, gathered to explore lead stores in Novaliches, Quezon City and conducted an interactive discussion with PhilSSA’s network partners, the Kabuhayan sa Ganap na Kasarinlan Credit & Savings Cooperative (K-COOP) and Samahang may Integridad sa Pangkabuhayan at Aktibong Gawain (SIPAG).
The event aimed to validate insights, foster collaboration, and address the challenges of enhancing market systems to benefit both rural suppliers and urban consumers. Additionally, the meeting highlighted informative discussions on operational improvements and challenges by partner entrepreneurs, presentations of effective marketing strategies from K-COOP and SIPAG, and opportunities among participants to network and strengthen collaboration.
The RUML is a project led by GlowCorp in coordination with six consortium partners and funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
