The Rural-Urban Market Link (RUML) team and their cooperative beneficiaries participated in a briefing on the Kadiwa Financial Grant Assistance Program conducted by the Philippines Department of Agriculture (DA) on 15 November 2024. The meeting revolved around the possibility of providing grants from the DA to support RUML’s cooperative beneficiaries, including shared insights from Yello X company on digitalizing the connectivity of market produce to consumers and supply chain solutions.
The KADIWA Financial Grant Program is DA’s initiative conceptualized to improve the distribution system of agricultural produce from farm-gate to market, which aims to develop strong value chains by building the capacities of Farmers and Fishers Cooperatives/Associations (FCAs) and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs).
RUML is a project led by GlowCorp with a six-member consortium, namely AgriCOOPh, AsiaDHRRA, FSSI, NATCCO, PhilDHRRA, and PhilSSA, and funded by USAID.
