DHRRA Networks and Partners discuss SDG Localization in Rural Areas

Bali, Indonesia –AsiaDHRRA gathered some 51 participants from DHRRA networks, strategic partner-peoples’ organizations (PO), and, intergovernmental bodies in a Training-Workshop on SDG Localization held on October 12, 2018 at Prime Plaza, Sanur-Bali, Indonesia.
With the aim to popularize SDG and ASEAN Vision localization in rural context, discussions focused on, among others, the importance of people’s participation in the SDG localization, SDG and ASEAN Rural Development and Poverty Eradication Framework Action Plan (RDPE FAP) alignment, sample organizational plan alignments to SDGs, particularly the UNESCO Learning Cities’ and AsiaDHRRA’s strategic action plans.

Workshops on aligning organizational goals, prioritizing SDG targets, and, planning for SDG Localization was conducted to capacitate DHRRA and PO staffs as potential SDG localization facilitators and resource speakers in their respective localities.
Reflections from the participants and recommendation from strategic partners capped the event.
