AsiaDHRRA, a service provider supporting the SPADe project, conducted a coaching workshop on 13 January 2025 with members of Lanao del Norte province’s Local Economic and Investment Promotion Office (LEDIPO) and Technical Working Group (TWG). The consultation is a follow-up from the previous capacity-building workshops conducted from 18 to 22 November 2024 for the TWG of Lanao del Norte and Saranggani provinces on the drafting of Gender and Conflict-Sensitive and Climate-Smart Investment and Investment Promotion Planning (GAIIPP).
The province’s TWG presented a draft GAIIPP of coconut and abaca value chains for review, discussion, and enhancement before final submission to the project implementer, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit’s (GIZ). The initiative aims to develop the capacities of eight (8) provincial governments (PLGUs) in four regions of Mindanao, a collaborative effort by the Philippine Government, DILG, and MinDA, funded by the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
