The consultation emphasized gathering more salient recommendations from the CSOs and LGUs to fine-tune the proposed framework and operational strategies as experienced on the ground. AsiaDHRRA recommended the need for stronger basic sector participation in the Food Security Council and the inclusion of representatives of farmers, fisherfolks, women, and indigenous peoples. There is also a necessity to present how the proposed operational structure shall be institutionalized by LGUs and how it can contribute to the proposed Food Security Framework of the ASEAN.
The draft framework plan, once finalized, would be presented to the President and concerned government policy and decision making bodies.
