Butuan City, Philippines – Last January 25 to 27, 2017 the 9th Annual Country Programme Review (ACPOR) was organized in Butuan City, Philippines and attended by 52 representatives coming from IFAD assisted projects, oversight and lead government agencies, and implementing partners.
Ms. Marlene Ramirez, Secretary General of AsiaDHRRA attended the activity representing also the AgriCORD PH Synergy Group, and with her was Mr. Glen Bais, Regional Coordinator for PhilDHRRA Mindanao. PhilDHRRA is a network member of AsiaDHRRA in the Philippines.
With the theme “Investments and Partnerships under a New Country Strategy”, the 9th IFAD ACPOR had the following objectives:
- Update on the new Philippine Development Plan (thrust and strategies), Philippine CSPE findings and recommendations;
- Report on the achievement of the PH Country Programme/Portfolio in 2016, the performance of both loan and grant projects in the country;
- Share good practices and lessons learned by the IFAD Country Programme and Projects and identify which could be feed into the development of the new PH-COSOP;
- Identify the challenges, gaps and practical solutions in implementing the country programme activities and projects (ongoing and upcoming projects);
- Prepare an action plan both for the Country Programme and projects for implementation in 2017;
- Prepare a summary report of the 9th ACPoR to be shared to GoP’s oversight agencies and IFAD APR.
