26 – 30 July 2022–AsiaDHRRA jointly launched the project “Maximizing opportunities for local markets for seafood products” with the Coalition of Municipal Fisherfolk Associations in Zamboanga, Sibugay (COMFAS), and conducted a series of field missions on 26-30 July 2022. AsiaDHRRA’s senior program managers, Mr. Florante Villas and Mr. Cezar Belangel were accompanied by COMFAS’ head, Robert “Ka Dodoy” Ballon, together with his board members, XAES Foundation Inc (XAES-FI) staff, and Siliman University student interns during their visits to livelihood programs in three municipalities of Zamboanga Sibugay namely in Kabasalan, R.T. Lim, and Tungawan.  AsiaDHRRA, through the Farmers’ Organization for Asia “FO4A” program in cooperation with AgriCord and funding from IFAD-EU, is supporting COMFAS in expanding these livelihood projects to other municipalities to benefit its members further.
