AsiaDHRRA’s Program Manager, Mr. Affan Firmansyah, participated in the 2nd ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) event on 23-26 July 2024 in the Sthal Ubud Hotel, Indonesia. Mr. Firmansyah presented AsiaDHRRA’s contribution to empowering inclusion and strategies for women, youth, Indigenous people, and local and marginalized groups and communities in the Food, Agriculture, and Forestry (FAF) Sectors.
The meeting aims to strengthen the ASEAN Guidelines on Responsible Investment in Food, Agriculture, and Forestry (ASEAN RAI) by promoting a collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders’ engagement from diverse expertise and perspectives for robust planned actions and implementation in the region.
The 2nd Joint Event is in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), supported by the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia and financed by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) and Swedish International Cooperation Agency (SIDA), and participated by policymakers, representatives from the civil society, private sector, and academia.
