The AsiaDHRRA secretariat convened its annual assessment and planning to evaluate the network’s program and project results based on Strategic Action Plan (SAP) 2021-2025. The objective of the yearly activity is to assess the accomplished work versus the targets, respond to gaps, and define strategies contributing to the realization of SAP.
Focusing on the most updated actions achieved in the regional platform based on the Mid-term 2024 timeline, the team presented the outcomes based on the goals set on empowering, leading, and innovating the network through its initiatives supporting farmers’ organizations, eradicating child labor, digital agriculture and advocacies on agroecology and territorial rural development. Facilitating factors were highlighted in the identified achievements and challenges, including the bottlenecks perceived to advance the action plans designed. Moreover, the meeting underlined the network’s successor generation challenges, emphasizing sustainability, compensation, and incentives for human resources.
The meeting similarly prioritizes the importance of resource mobilization through in-depth reflection and analysis to set synergized action plans for the network’s project and organizational sustainability. It was conducted from 20 to 22 January 2025 and was joined by the staff, consultants, and AsiaDHRRA’s Chairman of the Board, Dr. Sung Lee. The Chairman gave his crucial review of the assessment and plans presented and provided concrete and thoughtful recommendations on mobilizing funds strategies that add value to the network’s existing practices. Lastly, the team agreed to cascade the results and plans made to its project partners and DHRRAs through its implementation for 2025 with future discussions on improving the partnerships and collaboration.
