AsiaDHRRA participated in the Annual Members Forum Meeting and ASSET Regional Multistakeholder Workshop on ASEAN Policy Guidelines on Agroecology Transitions co-organized by the Agroecology TPP, ASSET Project, Asian Farmers Association (AFA), and supported by Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.  The gathering was held on 31 March – 4 April 2025 in Hanoi, Vietnam, and attended by over 130 participants from research, development, farming, and policymaking sectors engaged in high-level discussions, expert panels, and field visits.

AsiaDHRRA’s Secretary General, Ms. Marlene Ramirez, presented the Policy Guidelines for Agroecology in ASEAN Countries during the event’s session on policy workshop and AsiaDHRRA’s advocacy effort in Agroecology as a thematic block in the organization’s Strategic Plan 2021-2025. She also highlighted the coordination with the FAO on National Consultations in six ASEAN countries supporting the ASEAN Master Plan on Rural Development-Family Farming, and the Agroecology research initiatives in partnership with AgriCord through Farmers Organisations Leading Research & Innovation (FO-RI).

The event reflected progress on agroecological research and transitions, explored climate resilience, financing, and policy engagement, and strengthened collaboration through policy dialogues involving significant stakeholders on sustainable food systems.
