The Lao Association for Human Resource Development in Rural Areas (LaoDHRRA) participated in the annual meeting and conclusion of the project promoting youth in agriculture to livelihood on March 12, 2025, in the eastern province of Houphanh, Lao PDR. LaoDHRRA’s Vice President, Mr. BounKeua Vongsalath, participated in the meeting organized at the conference room of Sam Neua’s politics office and presided by Ms. Suliluk Khamvongsa, Head of the Department of Agriculture and Forestry. The gathering was similarly joined by the environment, youth, women, community leadership, and representation from two agricultural production villages.
The initiative has provided activities, including forming two youth agriculture in Ban Kang and Ban Tham villages and training in various areas like cultivation and animal husbandry, plant propagation, gender, and agricultural livelihood for youth. The gathering has also presented the project results, knowledge, and experience exchanges between the government sector and agricultural production groups, including recommendations on adopting modern technologies to grow crops and access the market for sustainable income.
