AsiaDHRRA’s Senior Program Manager, Mr. Florante Villas, participated in a panel discussion on Sustaining Agriculture through Collaborative Partnership organized by the Philippines Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture (PPSA) during the key partners’ meeting at Makati Diamond Residences, Makati, on 5 December 2023.
The discussion generated insights to shape policies, inspire initiatives, and nurture collective efforts beyond disciplines, borders, and sectors, and identified challenges faced by Philippine agriculture, like climate change, market dynamics, and growing population. Similarly, the panel explored the importance of collaborative partnerships in addressing the issues faced by farmers and starting a basis for sustainable agriculture that is adaptable and dynamic. Furthermore, collaboration is the foundation of progress, offering a pathway towards holistic and sustainable solutions.
The panel was equally participated by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations – Philippines, Agricultural Training Institute, Harbest Agribusiness Corporation and SEARCA.
