The Partnership of Philippine Support Service Agencies (PHILSSA) attended a two-day bazaar at the Ateneo De Manila University (Katipunan Campus) on November 13-14, 2023, organized by the Office for Social Concern and Involvement (OSCI) – Ateneo de Manila University. The event featured a pleasant array of handcrafted products by rural farmers and fisherfolks across the Philippines.  PhilSSA arranged a boxful of presents of the products into “Biyaya ng Pasko Packages” under the Biyayang Lokal’s theme “One Basket, Helping Communities, Sharing Christmas Blessings.”

The collection of gift packages ranges from savory dried fish to golden honey, aromatic coffee to rich muscovado sugar, and a plethora of various selections, including coconut spiced vinegar, turmeric powder, organic red rice, calamansi concentrate, and water-lily handicraft-like bags, wallets, sarongs, and malongs.  One of the most significant clients for these items was the Climate Change Commission, which ordered 400 customized packages for their dedicated employees this coming holiday season.

PhilSSA is a consortium member of the Rural-Urban Market Link (RUML) project led by GlowCorp and funded by USAID – US Agency for International Development.
