AsiaDHRRA organized a six-day Regional Training on Agroecology (AE) and Policy Advocacy (AE) and Constructive Engagement (CE) on 25 September – 6 October 2023 live via Zoom conference. The Farmer Organizations’ Leading Research and Innovation of Agroecology for Sustainable Food Systems (FORI) is a global project in partnership with AgriCord and funded by the European International Partnerships (EU) and the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS). AsiaDHRRA anchors the Southeast Asia implementation of the lobby and advocacy component of the project.
The training aims to update and deepen the farmers’ organization’s knowledge of agroecology as a framework in sustainable agriculture, agroecosystem management, and the transformation of food systems, considering the social, environmental, and economic objectives. The workshop was participated by 40 representatives from the DHRRA partners AgriCord’s agri-agency members, including TRIAS, AFDI, and FO partners in the region.
