23 March 2022 via Zoom – The Asian Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (AsiaDHRRA) and the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) met with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The meeting aimed at discussing and agreeing on the approach and methodology in documenting policies and programs supportive of family farming. Research results will also cover challenges encountered in implementing interventions and advisories for future developments.
The collaboration is part of the recently signed project for the “Provision of a Series of activities in the Framework of the UN Decade of Family Farming (UNDFF)” between SEARCA and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UNFAO). The project expects at least six (6) successful case studies supporting family farming, of which three (3) will be done by AsiaDHRRA in Cambodia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
The meeting was attended by the Research Team of AsiaDHRRA and SEARCA project officials.
