AsiaDHRRA conducts RTD on gender mainstreaming study result in support of ASEAN RDPE

  13 December 2021 – AsiaDHRRA conducted a round table discussion on the result of the gender mainstreaming strategy in ASEAN in support of rural development and poverty eradication, via Zoom.
The study was developed by the AsiaDHRRA, together with the ASEAN Secretariat, with mandates from the Senior Officer Ministries of the Rural Development and Poverty Eradication (SOMRDPE), as one of the regional initiatives in the RDPE Framework Action Plan 2021-2025 and in aid of the completion of the ASEAN Rural Development Master Plan (RDMP).
The RDT aims to: (a) Provide a venue to present the result of the gender mainstreaming study; and (b) Gather inputs and comments from AMS particularly on the ff.: Validate and improve the proposed convergence framework for gender
mainstreaming; Generate strategies and practical actions to strengthen convergence in gender mainstreaming within ASEAN; and Propose regional priority areas or themes for convergence among sectors in ASEAN in support of RDPE.
SOMRDPE representatives, ASEAN sectoral bodies & community pillars, ASEAN Secretariat, and AsiaDHRRA technical team participated in the RTD.
