AsiaDHRRA Secretary General, Marlene Ramirez, reported to the open session of the 18th Senior Officials Meeting on Rural Development and Poverty Eradication (SOMRDPE).Annually, AsiaDHRRA is invited to share the highlights of its work on RDPE and propose priority agenda in the context of its partnership agreement. This year, Marlene highlighted the completion of its support to SOMRDPE AND ASEC in developing the RDPE Work Plan 2020-2025; and its ongoing action in leading the drafting process of the first ASEAN Rural Development Master Plan.
The session is a prelude to the ASEAN Symposium on COVID-19 Recovery Efforts for the Poor and Marginalized Sectors which will formally open this afternoon, November 23, 2021 via Zoom.
This event is hosted by SOMRDPE Philippines through the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) as the new Chair of the SOMRDPE, under the able leadership of USEC Paterna Ruiz.
