AsiaDHRRA opens the week with the first segment of RAI TOT Module 4: Policy Advocacy through Constructive Engagement, via Zoom.
In this segment, participants are expected to: (a) Gain a shared understanding about public policy, policy making, and their link to development, politics and governance; (b) Identify relevant country level policy issues from the RAI principles, policy gaps, policy issue and change objective; (c) Identify key stakeholders and identify strength and weaknesses in addressing the issue & achieving the change objective; (d) Scope a policy agenda; (e) Appreciate the role of policy advocacy in policy makings, and the cycle and the process; and public advocacy as as form of public engagement; and (f) Recognize advocacy as an influencing approach driven by effective communication.
