North DHRRA OJTs – Yeo Joung Suh (KoDHRRA), Sung Wei Huang (TaiwanDHRRA), Ryoko Tsuboi (JaDHRRA) and Shui Tsai (TaiwanDHRRA) had a fruitful sharing session last September 12, 2008 about OJT life, their insights and its impact on their personal life. They also shared their reflection about their own DHRRAs and AsiaDHRRA.
The session proved to be an important activity as it generated helpful insights that enabled both the old and new OJTs to contextualize their experiences and to understand the sometimes confusing and frustrating situations they encounter while living in a different country and working in a multi-cultural environment.
It was also helpful to AsiaDHRRA as the learnings and deficiencies shared would surely help to fine tune the OJT program so that it would be more relevant and responsive both to the OJTs and to AsiaDHRRA’s needs.
Ms. Marlene Ramirez, Ms. Lany Rebagay and Jet Hermida of the AsiaDHRRA secretariat joined the young NorthDHRRAs in their sharing.
