Midterm evaluation of Post-Haiyan Fund Facility commenced

Quezon City, Philippines – From 9-15 April 2015, an interim external evaluation of AsiaDHRRA’s Post-Haiyan (Yolanda) Fund Facility for Local Initiatives was conducted to identify challenges and opportunities for improvement in the management, project strategies, implementation processes, relationship with partners in preparation for the second phase of the project beginning May 2014. The evaluation was carried out by Mr. Roel Ravanera, Executive Director of the Xavier Science Foundation and former Dean of the School of Agriculture of the Xavier University in Cagayan de Oro.

With support from Fondation de France and AgriCord, AsiaDHRRA set up the said fund facility for rehabilitation projects of affected farmers’ organizations (FOs). Currently, the fund facility supports eight (8) FOs covering 12 municipalities in Palawan, Leyte, Tacloban, and, Samar; and, directly benefiting 1, 511 farmers, fisherfolks and IPs to date.
