GILL shares its Lifelong Learning Approach

Gyeonggi-do, South Korea – Dr. Sung Lee, President of Gyeonggi-do Provincial Institute for Lifelong Learning (GILL), and, AsiaDHRRA’s Vice Chairperson for North Asia, shared the Golden Triangle Project approach, which puts premium on creating sustainable job opportunity while building a “happiness learning community.” In this approach, GILL has developed a tool, dubbed as “Happiness Index,” which provides quantitative indication of happiness level of beneficiaries before, during, and, after participating in lifelong learning activities.

Dr. Lee also shared their action learning strategy—a continuous process of learning and reflecting to get things done through group work.
This sharing-learning session is part of AsiaDHRRA’s strategy to gather, document, and popularize DHRRA’s capacity building tools/methodologies.
After the sharing, members of the AsiaDHRRA’s ExeCom and Secretariat visited Suwon Lifelong Learning Center at Suwon Global Village–one of the 52 villages being supported by GILL.

The sharing-learning session culminated with a short visit in GILL’s office at Gyeonggi Do Lifelong Learning Center in Suwon.
