Ms. Marlene Ramirez has been invited to participate in the 2 day regional workshop on “Supporting Southern-European alliances/platforms on ARD” under the Food Security Thematic Programme (FSTP) of the European Union.  The workshop is is being held from Wednesday 16th March to Thursday 17th March and is hosted by the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), in Bangkok, Thailand.
The workshops being conducted in the Asian and Latin American regions aim at “gathering the views of various stakeholders in Asia and in Latin America respectively on the establishment of inter-regional platforms and how they might best be organised”
“The most central activity of the study is the development of concept notes and strategies for new Southern-European alliances/platforms Europe-Asia Platform and a Europe – Latin America Platform, respectively.”
