The proposed CSO-FAO Joint Planning meeting is expected to allow the core members (or Team members) of the two regional platforms and FAO to develop concrete proposals for the way forward based on the recommendations of the FAO-CSO consultations held in 2010 in the Asia and Pacific region, including the FAO-CSO Consultation held in Manila in February 2010, the ADB/FAO/IFAD Civil Society Consultation at the Investment Forum for Food Security held in Manila in July 2010 and the FAO-CSO meeting held parallel to the 30th FAO Regional Conference for Asia and the Pacific in Korea in September 2010.
