Halfway through its project timeline, the RISE-UP Project convened the members of its advisory group on 9 January 2025 at Star Hotel, Davao City, to generate technical guidance and insights, sharpen strategies, and provide new perspectives to the remaining plans and targets.  The first part of the gathering highlighted the accomplishments of the first year in line with the objectives and generated feedback and inputs for the short and immediate terms of the project’s components 1 and 2.  Additionally, the advisory group contributed substantially to the project management team of component 3, relating to the livelihood co-creation write shop organized on December 9-10, 2024.

The meeting attained a better understanding of the first-year accomplishment, validated the identified action plans and proposals for components 1 and 2, and approved the recommendations and strategies generated from the livelihood co-creation write shop.

The “RISE-UP Project” is an EU-funded initiative on “Harnessing CSO Capacities for Eliminating Child Labour (ECL) Action through Multistakeholder Partnerships and Agri-entrepreneurship”.    The initiative partners with Kaanib Foundation Inc., Community Organizers Multiversity (COM), and PhilDHRRA and aims to eliminate child labor in agriculture through strong rural people organization participation.
