Day 1: AsiaDHRRA’s Smallholder Economic Empowerment through Digital Solutions (SEEDS) Project conducted a two-day workshop on capacitating member farmers of Matulatula Agrarian Reform Community Cooperative (MARCCO) on 9-10 December 2024 at Pola, Oriental Mindoro.  The first day of the workshop focused on essential functions and understanding using smartphones, operating systems, applications, and best practices for navigating the web, including emailing systems.  Participants were equipped with learning through hands-on training and group discussions about online safety and browsing experiences.  The Agri-business platform Go Eden showcased a smart approach to simplifying the supply chain, e-commerce, pesticide management, and more sustainable farming solutions.

Day 2: The second day of the workshop centered on digital financial literacy.  Participants mainly involved in savings and loan activities were familiarized and coached with digital financial tools such as e-wallets, mobile banking, and loan management platforms and functionalities.  Hand-on experiences were highlighted during the day, including the importance of security and spotting frauds and scams.

SEEDS Project is AsiaDHRRA’s initiative addressing the urgent needs for Digital Agriculture, implemented in Cambodia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, funded by the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) through IFAD.
