The third batch of capacity-building workshops for the project “Strengthening the Implementation of Regional and Local Peace and Development Agenda in Mindanao (SPADE-EU KoFI)” is currently being conducted at Poblacion, Davao City, from 18 to 22 November 2024 and for the Technical Working Group (TWG) of Lanao del Norte and Saranggani provinces. AsiaDHRRA is a service provider for the initiative, which aims to develop the capacities of eight (8) provincial governments (PLGUs) in four regions of Mindanao.
The Gender and Conflict-Sensitive and Climate-Smart Investment and Investment Promotion Planning (GAIIP)” is a series of learning workshops supported by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit’s (GIZ) targeting to increase the provincial, local government (PLGUs) capacities in designing sustainable investment plans and strategies and promote the plans to attract future investors. The first batch was organized on 1-3 October 2024 at Matina, Davao City, for Davao de Oro, Davao Oriental, Surigao del Sur, and Agusan del Sur PLGUs, and the second batch was held on 5-6 November 2024 for the provincial government of North Cotabato and Bukidnon at Poblacion, Davao City.
The learning workshop will eventually result in a collective and elaborative gender-conflict and environmentally sensitive investment and investment promotion plans of the eight PLGUs. The project is funded by the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through GIZ.
