Empowering youth in agriculture in building sustainable food systems in Asia-Pacific

The first Asia-Pacific Young Farmers and Agrilympics (YFCA):  Empowering Young Farmers in Cooperatives and Organizations: Building Sustainable Food Systems will happen on 12-16 August 2024 at Los Baños Laguna, Philippines. The week-long activities are organized by the Asian Farmers’ Association for Sustainable Rural Development (AFA), the International Cooperative Alliance- Asia Pacific, and the Pacific Farmers Organisation (PFO) and will be joined by young farmers in cooperatives and organizations.

The event aims to raise awareness about farming as a viable career for young people and provide an opportunity to contribute to safe, just, and resilient communities. Similarly, the gathering will serve as a venue for young farmers in the region to exchange learnings and showcase agricultural innovation initiatives and climate-resilient transition in the region.
