AsiaDHRRA and the Peace and Equity Foundation (PEF) jointly organized a visit to the Kauyagan Savers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (KSMPC) in Impasugong, Bukidnon, on 10-12 October 2023. The series of meetings discussed identifying success stories, operational gaps, and possible interventions to improve the cooperative’s future operations. PEF provides financing and technical support to the cooperative of 3,546 members that focuses on savings and credit services, managing a coop mart, very recently on agri-enterprises, including support to producing and marketing coffee, abaca, and corn.
The team was joined by Anna Vibar (PEF) and Marlene Ramirez, Florante Villas, Luchie Blanco, and Cezar Belangel (AsiaDHRRA). Thanks to the warm reception and hosting of KSMPC leaders led by Chair Paul Paraguya and Coop Manager Imelda.
