AsiaDHRRA participated in “The 1st Intersectoral Consultation Workshop on the Development of the ASEAN Declaration on the Elimination of Child Labour” on 16-17 May 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand, and virtual. The objective of the workshop is to reaffirm ASEAN’s commitment to tackle all forms of child labor through multi-sector and holistic approaches, address the rise of child labor in the region brought on by the pandemic, and complement existing efforts in the prevention of child labor and protection at the regional level.
The research is about Child Labor in Fisheries and Aquaculture Value chains in Asia and its Linkages to Migration. It is a study collaborating with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UNFAO) in 2022. Furthermore, she added AsiaDHRRA’s experience from the fieldwork in the Philippines, particularly in the Panukulan and Real, Quezon province.
