Help the rural poor of Asia especially the farmers, fishers, indigenous peoples and rural women.

Here are some of the ways you can help support us

Make financial contribution – you can support AsiaDHRRA by making financial contribution to our projects or organizational activities

1. Farmers Development Fund

AsiaDHRRA set up the Farmers Development Fund with the following objectives:

• to help increase farmers’ productivity
• to help build and enhance farmers’ capacities
• to help improve their lives, their families and, and their communities’

The fund will support farmers’ exchange visits, skills-based on the job trainings, information sharing, technology exchanges and participation in conferences where different rural development efforts being undertaken at the local, national and regional levels are discussed.

2. Exposure Development Program

AsiaDHRRA creates opportunities for people to people dialogue and exchange where issues discussed are based from an experiential point of view. For this reason AsiaDHRRA, while working on the ground , stays in touch with the hard realities rural folk face day-to-day.

3. Leadership Development Program

AsiaDHRRA provides opportunities for rural leaders, both farmers and NGO development workers, to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitude so that they can perform their roles as visionaries, network builders, consensus builders, synthesizers of information, advocates, and keepers of the covenant at the national and regional levels.

4. Capacity Building of Members

Our goal is to strengthen the member DHRRA’s and People’s Organizations for them to respond to the problems of rural poor communities. This is done through technical assistance in organizational strengthening, accountability building, resource development and mobilization, and technology transfer.

5. Operating Cost

Help us continue doing our work by helping in sustaining our organization financially.

Get Involved – you could be involved by taking part in the following:

1. Be a Volunteer

Work with us as a volunteer; contribute time and effort. We welcome students and on-the-job trainees who want to make a difference by working with us and supporting our mission.

We need volunteers to help us in our resource development and management program: updating library information and publications, updating data bases, inputting data and internet research.

We need volunteers who will help us raise funds, develop and create different fund raising campaigns, promote our work and /or in the day to day management of our fund raising events.

We also need special expertise on marketing in line with our project “Linking Small Farmers to Market.”

2. Join Altour Exposure Program

Travel with a purpose, take part in our events by visiting different community project sites in Asia. Learning while vacationing is AsiaDHRRA’s offer to socially responsible travelers or groups who while traveling and appreciating the gifts of nature want to learn the different development initiatives in Asia. We could partner with Corporations who want to avail of this program to promote their social responsibility programs and development education to their stakeholders.

AsiaDHRRA through the member DHRRAs in 10 Asian countries which have direct link to the communities, can offer equally attractive yet socially responsive packages. The program will engage many local people, especially in the poorest sectors, to participate in the development of an integrated alternative tourism program resulting to sustainable benefits to the communities.

3. Be an Advocate

One of the best ways you can help us in our mission of helping the rural poor is by taking part in our advocacies thru any of the following:

• subscribe to our monthly e-bulletin
• sign in our Campaign Declaration/s
• take action on advocacy campaign to support rural poor issues such as land reform, access to basic necessities and resources, and human rights.
• speak out by making people aware of farmers’ rights and sustainable rural
• development and our work; giving voice to our rural poor in Asia who
• cannot tell their own struggle; writing to media and concerned officials
