By Jet Hermida on Apr 20, 2009 in Agricultural Researches, Farm Technology, News Clippings
From the inventive guys over at PhilRice comes this harvesting machines.
Harvesting has the highest labor requirement, needing about 16 man-days/ha, in rice farming operations.
The Rice Engineering and Mechanization Center (REMCenter) of PhilRice designs harvesting machines that help farmers save on labor cost, increase productivity, and lessen the difficulty of farm operations. “We design machines that save on cost and lessen drudgery in rice farming operations,” said Dr. Caesar M. Tado, director of REMCenter.
PhilRice-Briggs & Stratton mini combine, PhilRice-JICA Rotary Reaper, SG 800 Rice Stripper Harvester, LS 600 Lite Stripper, and rice cutter-harvester are among the harvesting machines developed and/or improved by PhilRice.
The rice mini combine, developed by PhilRice in collaboration with Briggs and Stratton Corporation, helps farmers save labor, time, and money. Harvesting, threshing, cleaning and bagging are all rolled into this one versatile machine. Mini combine field tests showed very minimal grain loss.

I very much interested with your developed rice mini combine harvester. I am a farmer awardee, Regional Outstanding Corn Farmer Region 1, 2003, and have developed homemade small farm machine implements already. Can I request a copy of the blueprint or schematic diagram of your machine for my own construction? Rest assured that I will use this for my own personal project only.
