Philippine Farmers’ Field Day to showcase new technologies

This seems like a very interesting event to go to. with all the nifty and ingenious inventions sure to be displayed.

New technologies will be showcased during the Farmers’ Field Day, which is one of the highlights of the 21st National Rice R&D Conference on March 11-13 at the PhilRice Central Experiment Station in the Science City of Muñoz. This field day will bring together more than 2,000 farmers, extension workers, rice scientists, research and development (R&D) workers from agencies under the Department of Agriculture, state universities and colleges, local government units, non-government and people’s organizations to experience what R&D offers.

According to Mr. Ruben B. Miranda, head of the technology Management and Services Division and event coordinator, the field day and the conference fall on the same dates to also allow R&D participants see for themselves the latest rice technologies.
