The ASEAN Standing Committee, at its meeting held on 5-7 May in Jakarta, Indonesia, accorded AsiaDHRRA an ASEAN-affiliated NGO status. As such, it is expected that AsiaDHHRA can engage into the mainstream of ASEAN activities, be informed of the major policies, directives and decisions of ASEAN as well as having the privilege of participating in ASEAN activities.

AsiaDHHRA may also use and display the ASEAN emblem in its correspondence & communications. With this development, AsiaDHRRA finds greater strength in its partnership building work in the region.
